Who is Lorenzo?
Meet Lorenzo Valtoni, The Tuscan's digital character.
Lorenzo is a fictional Tuscan gentleman who talks about the land, the houses and the seasons of Tuscany, slowly and from the buyer's side. He is dry, patient, a little amused, and always on the side of the family doing the buying.
His images and voice are created with AI. He is not a real person, and he is not one of us. We say so plainly, and the excellent hair is entirely his own doing.
What he does
Lorenzo tells the stories behind our Journal. When the editorial team writes about a vineyard estate, a boundary, a deed or a difficult neighbour, Lorenzo is the one who raises an eyebrow. He sits with a glass of wine, an olive tree with opinions, and a folder of plans that are often held slightly the wrong way up.
The notes come from The Tuscan's editorial team. Lorenzo gives them a voice, and a sense of humour.
What he does not do
Lorenzo does not advise, negotiate, attend viewings or represent anyone. He is not an agent, a lawyer or an adviser of any kind, and nothing he says is legal, tax or financial advice. When a question is a real one, his answer is always the same: that is one for the office.
The office
The Tuscan is a private buyer's advisory office, working across Tuscany. We work for the families who engage us, and for no one else. We hold no listings and accept no seller commissions. The real work is done by us, and by the professionals we work with.
Lorenzo simply keeps us good company.
